Faith Comes By Hearing
We grow in our faith as we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to our hearts through His Word - the proclamation of truth can be a powerful force in transforming our minds, thinking Godly thoughts, rejecting the ideas of the world, and walking in Christ's power. We should powerfully contend for the truth in our lives. Romans 10 tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. In the book of Jude (ESV), we can find these words:
3 Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.
4 For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
We are all contenders for the faith, and Faith Radio is devoted to providing sound Bible teaching and uplifting music so that you can grow in the Lord. We desire to be a trusted source for material that is consistent with Scripture. And, our primary medium to do that is through radio - the transmission of the spoken word.
The Nielsen company has released a new report called, “Audio Today 2026: How America Listens." Inside Radio states, "The study finds that radio reaches 93% of all U.S. adults each month, making it the top-reaching media platform in the country...Even among the hard-to-reach 18-34 audience, radio reaches 89% of the population."
The article goes on to say that, "The medium also dominates ad-supported audio listening. According to Edison Research’s Share of Ear data cited in the report, radio accounts for 55% of daily ad-supported audio listening among adults 18+. Podcasts account for another 21%, while ad-supported streaming audio captures about 15% of listening time." It adds: "Radio’s strength is particularly pronounced in the car, where it captures more than 80% of all ad-supported listening time. The report notes that nearly three-quarters of out-of-home radio listening during weekday morning and afternoon drive occurs in vehicles."
Here's another "radio" nugget: An FMR / Eastlan Ratings National Radio Listening Survey "reveals that 84% of adults 25-64 listen to Radio weekly. Radio has been remarkably consistent over the last five years, revealing stable dominance in the audio space." In that age demographic, 63% listening to streaming audio and 40% listen to podcasts. That's according to the RAMP24/7 website.
And, there's more good news. Looking at just the media practices of the evangelical Christian audience, Christian Daily reports:

Nearly half of evangelical Protestants in the United States engage with Christian media on a daily basis, and more than two-thirds do so at least weekly, according to new national research released by Infinity Concepts and Grey Matter Research.
The study found that 48% of evangelicals consume Christian media daily, while 69% engage at least once a week — levels researchers say stand out at a time when many media platforms face declining trust and shrinking audiences.

According to the report: "Researchers examined 11 forms of Christian media and found that Christian music, radio and social media rank as the top three weekly touchpoints, each reaching more than half of evangelicals. These platforms serve as consistent channels for biblical teaching, encouragement and inspiration, according to the report."
