Positive decision on LA 10 Commandments case from federal appeals court

Louisiana legislators had passed a new law requiring the 10 Commandments to be placed in public schools throughout the state.  A three-judge panel of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals put the law on hold.  The entire court heard arguments recently in the case, and it handed down its decision last week.

First Liberty reported that the court "issued a decision reversing a preliminary injunction against Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law." First Liberty President, CEO, and Chief Counsel Kelly Shackelford stated in response, "The Ten Commandments are part of the history and tradition of our country. Our victory at the Supreme Court in Kennedy v. Bremerton School District makes it clear that this kind of religious education is Constitutional.  We echo Judge Ho’s words that our Founding Fathers believed the Constitution didn’t simply permit religious education, it presumed it would take place."

CA governor signs bill to provide taxpayer funds to Planned Parenthood

In response to the action by Congress, signed by the President, halting the use of taxpayer funds to go to abortion providers, Planned Parenthood announced that it may have to close perhaps as high as one-third of its facilities across the nation, according to The Christian Post

Regarding this situation as an "emergency," California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that would provide for $90 million dollars to be sent to abortion providers in the state. That's more than the $60 million that Newsom had originally recommended and comes in addition to $140 million in taxpayer-funded abortion passed by California legislators last fall.

Newsom is quoted as saying, "California is taking steps to ensure people don’t lose access to the range of services provided by Planned Parenthood,” adding, "As the Trump administration’s Big Ugly Bill punishes women and community health providers, California continues to stand in support of women’s access to essential health services and reproductive freedom.”  His wife, First Lady Siebel Newsom, said to the media gathered for the press conference announcing this new funding, "You wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country, and that these guys are getting away with it, because you don't seem to care. So I just offer that with love.”

The article went on to say:
In response to the signing of SB 106, Christian conservative group California Family Council (CFC) slammed the bill as a “bailout for Planned Parenthood” and warned about the misuse of taxpayer funds at a time of high housing costs, rising gas prices, and homelessness throughout the state.

“When a society rejects God and the inherent value of human life, this is where it leads: calling the destruction of children ‘care’ and calling massive abortion subsidies ‘compassion,’” said CFC Vice President Greg Burt. “These bills reveal just how dark our moral vision becomes when we abandon the truth about human dignity.”

Teacher at Fort Bragg identifying as a "wolf" fired

Amidst the radical LGBT agenda that conditions individuals to identify with a gender other than their true, biological one, you even have those who identify as animals.  An elementary school teacher on Fort Bragg is one such person and generated plenty of concern about his behavior, as Liberty Counsel reported, saying:
Multiple families with children at Fort Bragg’s Mildred B. Poole Elementary School had reported in 2025 and again in January 2026 that school administrators have allowed a trans-identified male substitute teacher/teacher’s aide to identify as a wolf—his sexual fetish animal—and to wear provocative “female” attire, a dog collar, and an animal tail in class while requiring children to howl and address him by false female names and pronouns. The male teacher was also allowed to escort girls to the bathroom. Children reported they were “scared,” “upset,” and “uncomfortable” by the teacher’s personas and behavior.
Liberty Counsel had sent a demand letter to the Department of War Education Activity, calling for the suspension of the teachers and an investigation of his alleged activities.  The organization's website noted, "Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced on the social media platform X that a Fort Bragg kindergarten teacher who had subjected children to sexually inappropriate and disturbing behavior has been fired. Following the announcement, the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA)...sent a letter to Liberty Counsel stating it had 'severed the employment relationship' with the teacher and that the 'individual no longer has access' to Fort Bragg."
