Godfrey, Joe - Alabama Citizens Action Program (Gambling bill - SB319)

The Executive Director of the Alabama Citizens' Action Program, or ALCAP, Joe Godfrey, provided an update on SB319, which was brought to the House floor on May 6, but no vote was taken. The bill could be brought up on the final legislative day on May 17, which would authorize a Constitutional Amendment, to be voted on by Alabama citizens, that would allow a state lottery and other forms of gambling in the state.  He also provided information on other legislation.
