Mary Kirkland is thrilled to be back with the Faith Radio listeners as the host of Evening Praise.
She was a former host of FaithSongs in the years 2012-2014.
Mary grew up in Dothan, Alabama. She attended Auburn University and landed her first on-air
job after graduation at Montgomery Public Television. After spending a year at APT, she was
hired as a reporter for WSFA News. It was about this time when she met and married her
husband, Keith. She left the news business soon after and spent a few years in pharmaceutical
sales before deciding to stay home after the birth of their first child. The Lord soon blessed Mary
and Keith with two more children and after the birth of their third, Mary went back to work for
Faith Radio.
Mary moved back to her hometown of Dothan when her husband relocated for his job, and that
is when she initially left Faith Radio. After a two-year stint in the Wiregrass, Keith and Mary
relocated one more time to Auburn, where they hope to stay put for many years to come. Her
oldest son and daughter now attend Auburn University, while her youngest is attending Auburn
City Schools.
Mary and her family are members of Auburn Community Church where Mary helps to facilitate a
multi-generational group of women. In her spare time, Mary enjoys walking and reading her
bible. Her life verse comes from Romans 12:2 which challenges her to “not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.”
