Kim Hendrix
Host of ShineKim Hendrix is someone who for more than 20 years came into your living room on a regular basis delivering the news on WSFA.
She changed careers in order to have more time with her family. In the spring of 2010, Kim accepted the position of Development Director at Saint James School in Montgomery where her daughter Annie attends. Kim holds the position of Director of Media Ministries at Frazer Memorial UMC, where she works to effectively use all means of communicating God’s word--from television to print and social media. Kim is happily married to Scott Skoneki.
Kim stays involved in the community and in ministry. She helped develop a praise and worship service at Frazer UMC called “Shine Your Light” and she writes a regular monthly column in River Region Journey magazine called “Shine.” She also served as a lay member on the Board of Ordained Ministry for several years, the Board of Magic Moments, and is active on the Board of Montgomery County Distinguished Young Women. She also served as chair of “Women of Influence” and has served as a spokesperson for HBDA-Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorders of Alabama.
Kim enjoys working to build up our community, believing if we all pull together and use the resources and contacts God has allowed us to develop over the years, great things happen!
